Serial And Mass Murder

There is mass murder, which is when their are many fatalities from an event at one time. Serial murder is when one person kills many people but with a cooling off period between kills. Robert Pickton is an example of a serial killer. He was a Canadian serial killer. he used to bring sex trade workers from Vancouver back to "piggy's palace" he would then rape them and later kill them. To cover up the murder he would feed their remains to his pigs. These murders were mission oriented. Meaning that he thought by killing these men and women he was making the world a better place. He killed somewhere between 6 and 49 people. I think that there will always be people like this who do sick and twisted things. One way things like this could be stopped is if the ladies had more protection. By that I mean there would be more people looking out for them. The victims are not to blame for what happened to them but if they were in a safer place they could have been saved.
The other kind of murder of many people, is mass murder. One of the largest most recognizable mass murders that has taken place in Canada was by Alexandre Bissonnette. He opened fire in a mosque in Quebec. His actions killed 6 men and life 5 others seriously injured. This whole act only took roughly 2 minutes. 20 minutes after he opened fire in the mosque he called the police and turned himself in. During his court case he told the judge that he was neither a terrorist nor a Islamophobia. When he was asked by he did what he did he said he was worried about the Muslim immigrants committing terrorist attacks. When people commit a crime that they believe is for the greater good it is called, mission orientated. Robert and Alexandre both committed these murders because they truly believed it would help society.
